Adding a tech support client

Step 1

Login to your Glow account.

Step 2

Once logged in, click on Clients from the main left hand menu. From the inner menu, click on Add new.

Step 3

Glow will now ask you to add the company name for your client. Type the name in the box and then click the Next step button.

Step 4

Next, Glow asks you if you’d like to connect a WordPress website. As we’re only add a tech support client (who we don’t manage a website for), we’re going to choose the ‘No’ option and then click the Next step button.

Step 5

You will now be shown a success message, confirming that your tech support client has been added to your Glow account. Click on the View all Live Clients here link in the success message and then scroll down the list of clients to find the one you just added. Click on their name.

Step 6

You will now see the Client Area, where Glow is asking you to confirm if you’d like to connect a WordPress website for this client. This is useful if you made a mistake when adding the client and do in fact need to connect their WordPress website.

As we don’t manage a site for this client, we’re going to click on the link that says We don’t manage a WordPress site for [client name].

When we do this, the WordPress tab disappears from the Inner Menu and we’re shown the Timeline.

Step 7

If in future, we do start managing a WordPress website for this client, we can connect it through the Settings section of the Inner Menu in the Client Area.

Click on Settings and then on the tab that says Connect a WordPress website.

You can then click on the Begin setup button to start the process of connecting a site.
