The official ChatGPT connector is coming soon

Glow is being submitted to OpenAI for listing. Once it is approved, connecting will be a single click. Until then you can add Glow yourself using the steps below, and a connection made now keeps working after the listing goes live.

Before you start

You need your own ChatGPT subscription on a plan that allows custom connectors, and developer mode turned on: Settings, Security and login, Developer mode.

Step 1: add the connector

In ChatGPT, open Settings, then Plugins, then Browse plugins, and use the + button.
Give it a name, and this address: https://my.getglow.io/api/mcp
Set Authentication to OAuth.
Tick the permissions you want under Advanced OAuth settings. You can pick fewer than all of them, but you cannot add one later without removing the connector and adding it again, so it is worth deciding now.
Confirm the risk notice and create it.

Use this address even if you normally sign in on your own domain.

Step 2: sign in and approve

ChatGPT sends you to Glow to sign in. You will then see a screen naming exactly what it is asking for, and where it will be sent.

Reading your websites, updates, backups, uptime and reports is the standard request. Running updates, changing uptime monitoring, and logging work are separate permissions: you can approve the connection without any of them and everything else still works.

ChatGPT asks again before anything that cannot be undone. Updating a theme or WordPress core prompts you first and says plainly that the change cannot be rolled back. Safe plugin updates take a backup and a screenshot first, and can be rolled back from Glow.

What it can see

Exactly what your own Glow login sees, and nothing more. If your account is restricted to certain websites, the connection is restricted to the same ones, for reading and for running updates alike.

It never receives passwords, connection keys, or anything that would let it reach one of your websites directly.
