Claude can be connected to Glow so you can ask about every website you manage without opening each one. This article covers Claude specifically. For ChatGPT see Connecting ChatGPT to Glow, and for what a connection can and cannot do in general see Connecting an AI assistant.
Add it from Claude's directory
Glow is listed in Claude's connector directory. Open Glow for WordPress and add it from there: no address to copy, nothing to configure. Sign in to Glow when it asks, approve the permissions, and you are connected.
The steps below add Glow by hand instead. It is the same connection, and it is the route to use if the directory is not available to you.
Before you start
You need your own Claude subscription on a plan that allows custom connectors. The conversation happens inside Claude, so Glow does not provide one. The Glow side is included on every plan.
You also need to sign in to Glow as the agency that should own the connection. Super admin and support sessions cannot approve one.
Step 1: add the connector
- In Claude, open Settings and find Connectors.
- Choose to add a custom connector.
- Give it this address:
https://my.getglow.io/api/mcp
Use this address even if you normally sign in on your own domain.
Step 2: sign in and approve
Claude sends you to Glow to sign in. You will then see a screen naming exactly what Claude is asking for.
Reading your websites, updates, backups, uptime and reports is the standard request. Running updates, changing uptime monitoring, and logging work are separate permissions: you can approve the connection without any of them and everything else still works.
Step 3: ask it something
- What needs attention across my sites today?
- Which sites run Elementor below 3.18?
- Which certificates expire this month?
- Which clients are over their hours?
If something goes wrong
Claude says it is connected but cannot answer anything. Check the connection is still listed in Glow under Settings, Integrations, AI assistants. If it is not there, it has been disconnected and needs adding again.
It cannot find a website you know exists. Your Glow account is probably restricted to a subset of websites, and the connection is restricted to the same ones. Ask an account owner to check your website permissions.
You are signed in as a super admin, or as someone else through support. Connections cannot be made from those sessions, because the connection would belong to an account that never saw the request. Sign in as the agency that should own it.
